They are seeking a Girlswear Assistant Designer with expertise in wovens and denim to contribute to collections for prominent high-street brands, ensuring these designs meet expectations while maintaining each brand's unique identity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and interpret trends to inform design concepts.
- Create detailed and accurate tech packs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet both commercial and technical requirements.
- Attend fit sessions and provide valuable input on garment construction.
- Partner with the sales team to present collections and incorporate client feedback into designs.
- Oversee the sampling process to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
We are looking for someone with 1-2 years of experience in girlswear design, ideally with a focus on wovens. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing for high-street brands and demonstrate a strong understanding of UK and European retail markets.
Additional Requirements:
Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and pattern-making techniques.
