Looking for a Garment Technologist to drive fit, quality and performance across Ladieswear Multi-Product with a solid fashion supply chain business who design, develop and source apparel for some of the world's biggest retailers.
In the role of Garment Technologist
You'll own the technical delivery of your product area from concept to store - keeping standards high and critical paths tight. Expect variety, pace and real influence.
As the Garment Technologist for Ladieswear Multi product
You will:
- Lead fit, construction and quality across seasonal ranges, ensuring every style is fit-for-purpose for a major account: Primark-ready.
- Review blocks, update spec libraries, and benchmark against market competitors to keep product commercial and innovative.
- Risk-assess fabrics and styling early, flagging issues and driving solutions with buyers, designers and suppliers.
- Run fit sessions, approve samples, and deliver clear, actionable fit comments and pattern amendments.
- Line-manage and develop junior technologists, setting the bar for great technical practise.
What you'll bring
We're after someone who thrives in a value-retail environment and knows how to balance quality, speed and commercial reality.
- 5+ years' clothing /garment tech experience, ideally multi-product and ladieswear.
- Strong knowledge of pattern & garment construction, fit, grading, fabric tech and testing.
- Proven success working with offshore suppliers and global supply chains.
- Confidence sealing fits on-stand and communicating precise fit comments.
- Bonus: experience in value retail and/or familiarity with CAD/3D prototyping tools.
