Sales and Design Director

Leicestershire – Onsite

£90,000 to £120,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Relocation Assistance

We’re seeking a Director, Sales & Design to take the helm of the commercial and creative functions — setting the strategy, inspiring the teams, and driving growth that turns heads in the marketplace.

What you’ll do

  • Lead sales strategy & growth – create and execute a robust plan to expand revenue, capture new markets and product categories, and deepen relationships with major retail and brand partners.
  • Inspire design direction – oversee seasonal trend forecasting and ensure collections balance creative flair with commercial impact.
  • Unite cross‑functional teams – bring sales, design, production, sourcing, and merchandising together in a seamless, deadline‑driven workflow.
  • Champion talent & market insight – conduct competitor analysis, attend trade shows, meet key customers, and share actionable insights with the board.

What you’ll bring

  • 10- 15+ years’ senior leadership in sales, design and buying within the fashion & textiles sector.
  • Ideally, direct experience at NEXT as Buyer, Senior Buyer, Buying Manager
  • Or within NEXT Sourcing supplier base at a senior level.
  • Proven ability to grow sales, manage key accounts, and lead high‑performing teams.
  • Strong grasp of UK & European fashion retail, and the commercial acumen to marry trends with profitability.
