Quality-driven. Detail-focused. Fast-paced. We are recruiting an Assistant Garment Technologist to join a large-scale, quality-focused fashion retailer within a busy Womenswear division. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, pace and ownership across complex product categories. You will work closely with Buyers, Designers and Merchandisers, supporting product quality from concept through to bulk and in-season.
The Role
- Support the garment technology process from design packs through fitting, testing and bulk.
- Issue clear specifications and manage technical documentation.
- Lead and support fit sessions across multiple product types.
- Manage suppliers to deliver quality, consistency and on-time production.
- Carry out risk assessments, review test reports and ensure legal & safety compliance.
- Investigate quality issues, manage failures and support customer service queries.
- Partner with Sustainability & Compliance teams to reduce risk and improve standards.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience as an Assistant Garment Technologist.
- Strong knowledge of knitted and/or woven garment construction and manufacturing.
- Confident leading fits and communicating technical detail clearly.
- Experience in a fast-paced retail or supplier environment.
