Our client is a longstanding, reputable brand that focuses on quality and originality. They are looking for a Garment Technologist to work across their sportswear range for men and women. You will work on the product lifecycle, ensuring high quality of garments, fit, and functionality. Managing technical aspects from concept to completion whilst ensuring compliance, ethical standards, and commercial viability are upheld.

The responsibilities of a Garment Technologist are:

• Ensuring garments meet customer expectations

• Conducting fittings and approving bulk products

• Measuring and preparing samples

• Checking and approving wash care labels

• Carrying out a range of technical and investigative work

• Liaise with the supply chain

• Completing test report approvals and analysis

• Keep track of testing approvals

• Block and fit reviews

• Work with the product team to create garment specs and determine best fabric and trim combinations

Candidate Requirements:

• 3-4 years prior experience in a garment technologist role

• Understanding of pattern cutting

• Strong knowledge of fabric, garment construction, technical drawing, measuring, and fitting

• Experience working with sportswear is preferable but not essential
