The Purchasing Manager is responsible for strategic procurement, supplier negotiations, stock planning, and compliance management across our multi‑service retail operation. This role is vital to maintaining uninterrupted service for a business located directly opposite the main entrance of Cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens, where customer footfall increases significantly during events and requires consistent stock availability and efficient supply‑chain management.
Key Duties:- Develop and implement purchasing strategies for regulated goods, groceries, household items, and operational supplies.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and supply continuity with wholesalers and specialist suppliers.
- Maintain a diverse supplier network to ensure uninterrupted stock availability.
- Analyse sales data, seasonal trends, and stadium event schedules to forecast demand.
- Plan stock levels for match days and large events with significant footfall increases.
- Oversee stock rotation, reduce wastage, and ensure compliance for age‑restricted and perishable goods.
- Manage inventory requirements for parcel hub operations (UPS, DHL, Amazon) and services such as PayPoint, Payzone, and National Lottery.
- Coordinate purchasing to support extended hours and high‑volume periods linked to stadium events and online delivery platforms.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, tobacco regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits related to alcohol licensing, tobacco tracking, and financial service partners.
- Monitor purchasing budgets, analyse cost variances, and implement cost efficiency measures.
- Produce reports on supplier performance, stock turnover, and procurement effectiveness.
- Use digital inventory systems and supplier platforms to streamline ordering and track stock movement.
