Job Specification
Purpose Of The Role
The Mobile Maintenance Supervisor will assist the Maintenance Manager with managing the mobile engineers’ diaries, remain hands‑on within the field, and assist with complex and technical challenges. The role will resolve around 100 maintenance tasks every week with a high first‑time success rate, providing ownership and supporting a team as the business continues to grow.
Duties (not exhaustive)
- Assist the Maintenance Manager to supervise and support a team of mobile maintenance engineers
- Remain hands‑on, assisting with complex repairs and technical challenges
- Manage and optimise daily schedules using CMMS and scheduling software
- Ensure all work meets high‑quality, safety, and compliance standards
- Act as the escalation point for technical issues and client concerns
- Monitor team KPIs and drive performance improvements
- Conduct regular audits of work quality, reporting, and vehicle standards
- Proactively and quickly adjust workloads and routes to respond to emergencies
- Maintain accurate job records, reports, and system updates
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands‑on maintenance engineering experience
- Experience managing or supervising a mobile/field team
- Proficiency with CMMS and scheduling systems
- Strong problem‑solving under pressure
- Self‑motivated, high standards, leadership mindset
Hours & Salary
Monday – Friday 08:30 am – 05:30 pm
Salary: £46k – £54k dependent on experience
