Success Recruit is working with a market‑leading established business in Central Essex that is continuing to grow and is recruiting a Grants Assessor for a brand‑new position. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised, self‑motivated professional who enjoys engaging with stakeholders and providing high standards of customer care both face to face and digitally, while contributing within a busy grants team to help deliver efficient, effective grant‑making for the foundation.
The Successful Grants Assessor will have:
- IT literacy across a range of applications including Office 365
- Good numeracy skills with accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of the community or voluntary sector and grant management would be desirable

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and process grant applications, determining eligibility against grant‑making policies and guidelines
- Prepare donor schedules, grant offers and rejection letters and support the involvement of fundholders, donors and trustees
- Provide a professional service to stakeholders including all voluntary and community applicants, grant partners, donors and fundholders
- Support management while working closely with other members of the Grants team to establish and implement administrative procedures
- Ensure any necessary contractual obligations are fully adhered to, including timetables, reporting, and financial procedures
- Maintain the integrity of the data in Salesforce, the CRM system
- Assess end‑of‑grant reports to inform stakeholders, trustees, donors and potential donors
- Support the Communications Team to promote grant activities and identify stories to raise the profile
- Develop and maintain effective communications with other staff and trustees
- Represent the organisation at appropriate events, some of which may fall outside of regular office hours, as required
