Success Recruit are currently working with a growing and dynamic construction and property development business who are seeking to recruit a Trainee Assistant Project Manager to join their team based in Basildon, Essex. The successful Trainee Assistant Project Manager will work closely alongside the Project Director, supporting the coordination and delivery of a range of commercial and residential projects across Essex. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to build a long-term career within project management, receiving hands-on training, mentorship, and clear progression opportunities longer term.
The successful Trainee Assistant Project Manager will be expected to:
- Have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in project management within construction
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Have strong IT skills, including Microsoft SharePoint and/or CAD and AI is desirable
- Be willing to travel to various project sites across Essex, full driving license required

The purpose of this position is to support with the successful delivery of multiple projects whilst learning all aspects of project management. You will work closely with the Project Director, alongside internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are coordinated effectively and delivered on time and within budget.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Supporting the delivery of multiple projects to include refurbishments, extensions and new build developments
- Assisting with project planning, coordination, and execution
- Keeping internal systems and project databases up to date with all relevant information
- Attending meetings with the board of directors and contributing to follow-up actions and reviews
- Supporting with tasks such as risk assessments, contract administration, and project scheduling
- Liaising & building strong rapport with architects, M&E consultants, contractors, and subcontractors
- Supporting with project costings and budgets
- Supporting with sourcing & arranging materials and suppliers where required

Hours: Monday to Friday – 9:00am – 5:00pm (some flexibility required)
