Success Recruit are currently working with a leading supplier within the construction industry who are seeking to recruit a Product Lead to join their growing and well-established team based in London. This position will suit someone who loves working in a fast-paced and innovative environment where my client continues to expand on quality and being a leader.

The successful Product Lead will be an integral part of the product development team, supporting with the continued strategy for product, price, performance & quality strategy, working within a highly innovative environment and closely with R&D Teams.

The successful Product Lead will be expected to have:

  • A degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • 5 years+ of product management experience
  • Strong understanding of European & UK markets & distribution models
  • Proven experience of end-to-end product life cycle management
  • Excellent financial and analytical acumen

The Product Lead will work closely with the wider teams to include sales, marketing, engineering and supply chain to ensure the continued success and growth of product development, lifecycle management and market positioning. The position will require someone to conduct regional market insights for global product strategy ensuring it is aligned with customer and business goals.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis
  • Align product plans with corporate objectives, ensuring market-fit and profitability targets are met
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of products from concept to discontinuation
  • Make data-driven decisions to rationalise SKUs and optimize product mix
  • Analyse customer insights & industry trends
  • Partner with local sales teams to validate market requirements and unmet needs
  • Lead product development initiatives, collaborating with global R&D
  • Define product specifications and value propositions in response to customer pain points
  • Coordinate efforts with marketing, operations, and engineering teams to ensure timely product launches
  • Facilitate meetings to streamline communication and eliminate project bottlenecks
  • Ensure sales and distributor teams are equipped with the necessary training and materials
  • Create business cases for new product initiatives and present them to senior leadership
  • Monitor financial performance post-launch and adjust strategy based on ROI metrics
  • Regularly meet with key distributors, end users, and trade professionals to gather feedback
  • Represent the company at shows and customer events to build brand loyalty
  • Ensure all products meet EU/UK regulatory and safety standards prior to launch
  • Work with QA and legal teams to proactively address compliance risks
  • Conduct post-launch reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future processes

Hours: Monday to Friday – 8.30am – 5.00pm (3-4 Days Office, 1-2 Days Home)

Salary: £45-50k dependant on experience
