This newly created role offers an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their finance/accounts career or with a strong passion to enter and join a supportive and experienced team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Administrator will provide essential day-to-day financial and administrative support, while gaining valuable experience across a variety of finance functions.

Purpose of the role: This is a key support role within the finance department, working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of financial operations. Using the organisation’s CRM and accounting software, the Finance Administrator will contribute to the effective running of the business’s financial systems.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Recording and allocating all daily income, and setting up new donor accounts when required
  • Processing cheques and cash receipts
  • Supporting the monthly bank reconciliation process
  • Managing and recording petty cash transactions
  • Assisting with staff expenses and corporate card expenditure
  • Logging daily operational spend into the accounting system
  • Supporting internal departments with payment processes
  • Providing administrative assistance to the Finance Manager and Director of Finance & Resources, including cross-departmental collaboration
  • Assisting with the month-end process and year-end audit preparation
  • Representing the business at events and contributing to external projects

Hours: 35 Hour Week 8am - 6pm Flexible working hours available starting between 8am - 10am and 4pm - 6pm

Salary: £24,900
