We are partnering with several respected and expanding providers seeking dedicated Residential Managers to lead children’s homes across the UK. These roles offer the opportunity to lead high-quality EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provisions, ensuring safety, stability, and positive outcomes for young people.
The Role
As a Residential Manager, you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children’s home in line with Ofsted and safeguarding regulations.
- Recruit, lead, and support a committed team, fostering a positive and reflective care culture.
- Ensure the delivery of trauma-informed, child-centred care in a nurturing and structured environment.
- Develop and maintain detailed care and placement plans tailored to individual needs.
- Liaise with local authorities, social workers, and families to support each young person’s journey.
- Champion continuous improvement, driving high standards of practice and compliance.
About You
You are a capable and passionate leader with a clear commitment to safeguarding and positive outcomes for children. Ideally, you will have:
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children & Young People) or equivalent (or currently working towards it).
- Prior experience as a Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready to step into a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations , safeguarding legislation, and best practice in residential care.
- Excellent team leadership, communication, and organisational skills .
- A resilient, empathetic, and values-driven approach to care.
