Role Description
Part-time online teachers at Success Academies deliver live, remote lessons in Computer Science, Media Studies and Science to homeschooling students and those in alternative provision.
In this remote role, teachers plan and deliver engaging online sessions, set and review weekly tasks, and provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress.
They use the online learning environment and resource library to create interactive and accessible lessons that meet diverse needs.
Teachers are responsible for monitoring student engagement, contributing to progress reports, and maintaining high standards of safeguarding and professional conduct.
Collaboration with the wider teaching team to share best practices and align with curriculum expectations is also part of the day-to-day work.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Education and Teaching in at least one of the following subjects: Computer Science, Media Studies or Science.
- Demonstrated skills in Lesson Planning and Training, including designing structured, outcome-focused online lessons.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly in a virtual classroom and engage learners of different ages and abilities.
- Experience with online teaching platforms, digital resources, and basic educational technology; confidence in delivering remote instruction.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, ideally within UK or equivalent curricula, and a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered practice.
- Relevant teaching qualification or degree in a related subject area; QTS or equivalent is advantageous.
- Current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain) and up-to-date safeguarding training.
- Reliable internet connection, suitable home working environment, and strong organisational and time-management skills.
