We are delighted to partner with a leading Travel Management Company in the search for a Head of Global Implementations. The Head of Global Implementations will be responsible for the effective implementation of our client’s travel management process within new customers across all their territories globally, ensuring delivery of agreed customer requirements from initial stages of post-contract securement to the “go live” launch. They will also be responsible for the planning and implementation of major changes to the travel management process across individual or groups of customers. Working collaboratively with the Commercial & Operations functions, the Head of Global Implementations will create own and support delivery of an agreed plan with the customer and internal team members to reach the agreed deadlines and customer requirements.

To be successful in this role you must be flexible in your approach to learning, keen to challenge ways of working and suggest new innovative methods, as well as having a drive for achievement. Previous experience in a similar Implementation role within the travel sector is essential. In return, our client can offer a competitive salary up to £60k plus excellent benefits. Role of Head of Global Implementations:

  • Lead and project manage new customer implementations working with Commercial and Operations teams, to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Work closely with any other relevant internal teams to ensure implementation plans are delivered to the agreed standards and timelines.
  • Liaise directly with customers to understand requirements and propose effective solutions.
  • Organise regular implementation meetings with the relevant internal teams acting as co-ordinator for updates and general communications on the implementation programme.
  • Act as a central point of contact for all internal teams involved in the implementation plan to ensure all relevant data is considered in the delivery process.
  • Ensure any barriers to the implementation process are identified and addressed or escalated to the Global Operations Director as appropriate for resolution.
  • Support customers with new and challenging requests through the implementation process.
  • Deploy online booking tools either as part of a new implementation or to existing customers wishing to expand their booking methods.
  • Keep fully up to speed on the workings and relationships between our client’s internal manual and automated/online systems.
  • Maintain high standards of knowledge of the booking process, identifying and recommending improvements where possible.
  • Track the project life cycle and progress within salesforce for reporting and business visibility.

Skills required for the role:

  • Proven track record in delivering new client implementations in the travel sector.
  • Project Management skills and experience.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Pro-active in engaging people and gaining “buy in” from all involved parties.
  • IT systems literacy, strong MS Office Excel and Word skills.
  • Experienced with mentoring or managing other team members.
  • Native GDS experience.
