Job Description:
We’re looking for an Aviation Operations Manager to join a leading Tour Operator. This is a fabulous opportunity where the successful candidate will be responsible for all Aviation Projects, including building relationships with GDS providers, securing new deals, meeting targets, and driving the aviation business forward. The role involves liaising with existing e-sales customers, reservations, and airlines.
Previous experience in a similar role within the travel sector is essential, along with excellent worldwide airline and fares knowledge and a willingness to assist with out-of-hours cover. Our client offers a competitive salary up to £45k plus benefits.
This is ideally a fully office-based role; however, a hybrid working option will also be considered.

Role of Aviation Operations Manager:
- Oversee the ticket department daily
- Ensure reservations team are updated with new fares, special fares, and routing changes, communicating effectively daily fare updates
- Assist with GDS relationship at the operational level
- Monitor competitor activity and airline pricing weekly
- Manage specialist fares including cruise fares, NDC, I.T fares, e-global, and corporate fares
- Manage ADM & ACM processes from start to finish
- Coordinate airline training for the reservations team with the training department
- Manage relationships with e-sales customers, keeping them updated with new fares
- Analyze fares and airline information to identify and promote good deals
- Advise teams on disruptions affecting passengers and ensure contingency plans are followed
- Participate in a rota to cover the out-of-hours emergency line
