We’re working with a leading online travel organisation that is expanding its Chester-based team, and we’re looking for a confident, customer-focused Travel Customer Service Advisor to join them.

This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people.

Whether you’re answering a booking query, resolving an issue, making an amendment or simply making sure a customer feels looked after, you’ll play an important part in creating an experience that keeps customers coming back.

You’ll be joining a fast-paced, growing travel business where no two days are quite the same.

Role of Travel Customer Service Advisor

  • Providing exceptional service and creating positive customer experiences that encourage repeat business and great online reviews.
  • Handling a high volume of calls from customers and travel agents, dealing with booking and documentation queries.
  • Listening carefully to customers, understanding what they need and confidently actioning changes or requests.
  • Managing a busy inbox and prioritising emails effectively.
  • Pricing, quoting and processing booking amendments.
  • Investigating booking discrepancies and finding practical solutions quickly.
  • Liaising with internal teams and suppliers to chase documentation, confirmations and outstanding information.
  • Taking ownership of escalated issues and seeing them through to a successful resolution.

Skills required for the role

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Travel industry experience — an advantage, but not essential.
  • A confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to organise and prioritise a varied workload while working to deadlines.
  • Experience handling challenging situations and resolving customer concerns.
  • A flexible, adaptable approach and a genuine willingness to help.
