About The Role
The Assistant Manager is required to regularly and customarily exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the store as the deputy to the Store Manager. The Assistant Manager is responsible for serving customers, following health and safety procedures and keeping the store clean. You will assist in the development and training of Sandwich Artists and ensuring customer satisfaction and team productivity.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for demonstrating the principles in accordance with the franchise company and the Subway brand.
This role assists the Store Manager by creating and maintaining the Subway experience for our customers and partners.

Duties
- Maintaining business records as outlined in the Operations Manual and analyzing business records to manage the business
- Communicating changes of food preparations formulas, standards, etc. to staff
- Supporting local and national marketing initiatives
- Ensuring that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained, and that company safety and security policies are followed
- Recruiting new staff members
- Recognition and reward of staff performance
- Disciplinary action as required
- Identifying and contacting prospective customers to promote sales
- Planning events and promotions
