The Gritstone Team Member
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and adaptable Team Member to join our Gritstone team at Substation. This role is focused on delivering great coffee, food, and customer experience in a busy, welcoming environment.
Location: Brixton, London.
Contract: Part-Time.
The Role
The role will be split between:
- Barista & Customer Service: Preparing and serving high‑quality coffee and drinks, greeting guests, taking orders, handling enquiries, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
- Food Service & Prep: Preparing and serving simple food items, maintaining high hygiene standards, and ensuring the kitchen and service areas run efficiently.
- Front of House & Cleaning: Keeping the café and shared spaces clean, safe, and well‑presented at all times, including clearing tables, restocking, and supporting general day‑to‑day operations.

December 24th 10:00–17:00 | 25th Closed | 26th 10:00–18:00 | 27th 10:00–20:00 | 28th and 29th 9:00–19:00 | 30th 10:00–20:00 | 31st 10:00–17:00 | January 1st 10:00–18:00 | 2nd and 3rd 10:00–22:00.
Open Weekdays: 12:00-22:00.
Open Weekends: 9:00-19:00.
