We’re looking for a proactive and organised Operations Manager to support the day‑to‑day running of the centre in Brixton, London. This full‑time role reports to the Centre Manager and involves leading teams, maintaining operational standards, ensuring a smooth, safe, and efficient environment, and enhancing customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain full rota and operational coverage while managing labour efficiency during seasonal changes.
  • Coach and hold Duty Managers and Supervisors accountable to confidently take ownership of shifts and operational responsibilities.
  • Ensure contingency plans are clearly communicated and understood by shift leaders for operational issues and building faults.
  • Support staff training, onboarding, and ongoing team development across all operational areas.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, building compliance, and maintenance procedures.
  • Oversee operational checks, accident reporting, incident escalation, health and safety procedures, and follow‑up actions.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly operational checks are completed consistently and to a high standard.
  • Strengthen communication and shift handovers through clear operational updates, toolbox talks, daily briefings, and regular Duty Manager and Supervisor check‑ins.
  • Ensure excellent customer experience standards are maintained, including cleanliness, presentation, customer service, and overall welcome experience.
  • Support retail operations, including stock management, merchandising, display standards, and pricing.

We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Duty Manager, or similar operational leadership role.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident managing operational systems, compliance, and health & safety procedures.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and proactively solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience within hospitality, wellness, leisure, or customer‑facing environments.
  • Retail experience preferred, including stock management, ordering and shop displays.
