Location: Brixton, London

Hours: Full time, Permanent (Days, Evenings, Weekends)

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the centre
  • Deliver team briefings and manage staffing priorities throughout the day
  • Ensure opening, closing, and building safety procedures are completed consistently
  • Support supervisors and team members during busy periods
  • Manage on‑shift staffing adjustments and escalation of operational issues
  • Act as the responsible person on shift during emergencies
  • Complete and oversee operational safety checks and walkarounds
  • Deliver excellent customer service across the centre
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints confidently and professionally
  • Support a safe, welcoming, and well‑organised customer journey
  • Support training and onboarding of new staff
  • Assist with operational training and sign‑offs
  • Report and follow up on operational and maintenance issues
  • Liaise with contractors and external maintenance teams where required
  • Support climbing sessions, inductions, kids clubs, and group bookings where required
  • Support retail standards and stock organisation
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the site
Experience & Skills
  • Previous experience in hospitality, leisure, retail, climbing, or customer‑facing environments
  • Experience leading teams or supervising shifts
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to stay calm and make decisions in busy environments
  • Strong understanding of customer service and operational standards
