Role: PR Account Manager

Reporting to: Head of PR

Location: London

Work Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days in office per week one of which must be a Thursday.

You’re a calm, confident campaign lead who clients trust, journalists respect, and teams rely on. You know how to run brilliant Film & TV publicity campaigns — and you enjoy doing it.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning campaigns
  • Be the day‑to‑day client lead — trusted, proactive, and across every detail
  • Run client meetings and calls confidently, without needing senior backup
  • Take initiative, solve problems early, and keep campaigns moving smoothly
  • Deliver consistently high‑quality work, on time and on budget
  • Roll up your sleeves for screenings, events, premieres and launches (some out‑of‑hours work comes with the territory)
  • Juggle multiple campaigns without dropping the ball
  • Track time and budgets accurately (Harvest‑friendly 😉)
  • Flag risks early and help negotiate additional budget where needed
  • Make smart decisions about where time and energy are best spent
  • Editorial, influencers & partnerships
    • Build and maintain strong journalist and editor relationships
    • Stay on top of media moves, new outlets and rising voices
    • Work closely with social to identify and activate influencers when needed
    • Confidently manage influencer partnerships (fees, access, expectations)
    • Spot and deliver smart partnerships and activations that elevate campaigns
    • Turn briefs into sharp, creative campaign strategies
    • Collaborate with publicity, social, creative and insights teams
    • Write clearly and persuasively — decks, ideas, rationale, reports
    • Present ideas with confidence and adapt your style to the room
  • Events & talent
    • Run junkets, screenings and premieres with professionalism and calm
    • Liaise smoothly between clients, talent, journalists and influencers
    • Be trusted on‑ground support, even when things get pressurised
    • Represent Substance brilliantly at industry and client events
  • Reporting & results
    • Deliver clear, timely reporting that actually tells the story
    • Summarise campaign success and insights in a way clients value
    • Create strong case studies for creds decks and the website
  • Team & culture
    • Be a positive, reliable presence in the team
    • Support, guide and mentor juniors and interns
    • Delegate clearly and help others grow
    • Contribute ideas, encourage collaboration, and lead by example
