Type:3 month Contract 15th August to 15th November 2025
Location: Hybrid (will need to be in the London office on a regular basis, 1-2 times a week)

What we are looking for:
We have a great opportunity to join our growing social team as a Paid Social Media Manager. Working on paid social campaigns for a range of our clients, you will have responsibility in all aspects of paid campaign delivery.
What you will be doing:
Role core responsibilities:
- Making strategic spend recommendations and helping to develop paid strategy for our clients across all social platforms
- Creating effective targeting, promoting posts on platforms. Monitoring post performance and budgets in real time, making adjustments as needed to ensure that campaigns are meeting performance goals and reporting internally/directly to clients
- Owning the end-to-end management and deliverables of specified paid social campaigns from implementation to optimisation, ensuring it delivers to time, budget & quality standards
- Adopting a continual ‘test and learn’ approach to all paid social activities
- Collaborating across all our teams to identify opportunities where paid social can and should support wider marketing and commercial initiatives
- Create compelling ad copy and targeting strategies to reach the desired audience
- Stay up-to-date with the latest paid social media trends and best practices, and implement these in campaigns
- Collaborate with other teams, such as design and content, to create cohesive and effective campaigns
- Provide regular reports on campaign performance and ROI to stakeholders
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to customer acquisition and retention across all digital channels
What you can bring to Substance:
- Is an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Has prior experience in a client facing paid social role including management of at least one person
- Has excellent attention to detail when setting up social ad campaigns across multiple platforms and territories
- Has a strong understanding of social advertising, including Google Ad Words, Facebook Ad Network (including Instagram), Twitter Ads etc. based on recent experience
- Is constantly on the lookout for new and upcoming social ad opportunities
- Is a champion of and proficient in using insights to aid targeting, social strategy and social creative
- Has an understanding of how to effectively use tracking techniques including tracking pixels Strong understanding of website analytics and conversion tracking
- Is able to build and maintain relationships with third parties, including clients and ad platform contacts
- Is able to summarise potentially complex social ad results or large data sets into digestible insights for clients
- Has great knowledge of excel; comfortable in producing complex reports and formulas
- Feels comfortable working within a fast-paced team environment, work to deadlines and has proficient problem solving skills
