About the Role
Substance Global is looking for a dynamic and creative Events & Experiential Manager to lead the ideation, planning, and execution of standalone experiential events for the film industry . You’ll work closely with our Social, PR, and Creative teams to bring immersive brand experiences to life, ensuring seamless event delivery and exceptional audience engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to work with major film studios, streaming platforms, and entertainment brands , crafting innovative activations that resonate with fans and industry insiders alike. The role is suitable for event managers and producers that have agency experience, this is a stand-alone role, using the Social, PR and Creative teams for support and reports directly to our SVP of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute high-impact experiential activations for film releases, premieres, and promotional events.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Social, PR, Creative, Production) to integrate events into wider marketing campaigns.
- Translate client briefs into memorable, audience-focused experiences that drive engagement and buzz.
- Research and propose cutting-edge event formats , emerging tech, and unique venue spaces.
Project & Budget Management
- Oversee event budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution while maintaining high creative standards.
- Manage end-to-end event logistics, including venue selection, permits, supplier negotiations, and on-site coordination.
- Manage suppliers in line with our company social responsibilities, recycling policy and repurposing end of event leftovers.
- Coordinate contracts, risk assessments, health & safety compliance , and licensing requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the main point of contact for film studios, streaming platforms, and entertainment clients.
- Pitch creative experiential concepts and event ideas to clients, securing buy-in and approvals.
- Work closely with production partners, agencies, and suppliers to deliver seamless activations.
On-Site Execution & Event Delivery
- Lead event setup, ensuring flawless execution from build to breakdown.
- Manage talent, influencers, and brand ambassadors during activations.
- Troubleshoot any real-time challenges and adapt plans as needed.
Post-Event Reporting & Analysis
- Measure event success through attendance, engagement, press coverage, and social media impact .
- Compile post-event reports, gathering insights and recommendations for future activations.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in event management, experiential marketing, or live activations, preferably within entertainment, film, or creative industries.
- Creative Thinker: Passion for developing unique, immersive, and buzzworthy experiences.
- Project Management Skills: Ability to juggle multiple projects, tight deadlines, and client expectations.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the film industry, fan culture, and entertainment marketing trends. Supplier network to reach out to.
- Budget Management: Confident in handling event budgets and negotiating with suppliers.
- Strong Communication: Excellent at liaising with clients, internal teams, and external vendors .
- Hands-On Attitude: Willing to roll up your sleeves and lead events from concept to execution.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiar with AR/VR, interactive installations, and digital activations is a plus.
