Our market ready platform, VICTA, is an optionally crewed / payload carrying dual-domain platform designed to operate at speed over range, capable of rapid transition beneath the surface to operate submerged, enabling the discreet delivery of effects within contested waters. It is a unique, innovative British platform focused primarily on the defence market but with utility beyond.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop Production Engineering function to enable our journey into production
  • Develop mechanisms for capturing all manufacturing processes during prototype builds
  • Develop roadmap for productionisation of build processes, including protocols for testing improved methods, materials & equipment
  • Investigate and recommend capital investments that drive efficiency, remove technological roadblocks and increase flexibility from the production process
  • Identify opportunities to progress digitally, such that the SSC production execution system is at the forefront/ best-in-class for multi-platform production sites
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate digital learning and data capture in our production lines
  • Work within the scope of our ISO accreditations and our QMS & recommend amendments that would help to align with our business objectives

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Production experience with composite structures or electro-mechanical assembly
  • Experience of working within a high value, low volume production environment
  • Experience of productionising new technologies and new products

Desirable:

  • Degree qualified within engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Recognised Project Management experience or qualification
  • Use of agile toolsets

Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum Existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with Security Check likely for specific projects.
