We are looking for a Junior Buyer/Supply Chain Coordinator to play a key role in our Supply Chain team. In this dynamic role, you’ll manage supplier onboarding and compliance, maintain accurate data in our ERP system, get the latest updates from suppliers and place purchase orders. Supporting procurement processes and collaborating with other functions in the business, this is an excellent opportunity to begin and build your supply chain career with us.
Responsibilities
- Supplier onboarding, such as trade and security compliance checks, ERP system supplier set up, etc.
- Supplier related data management, including invoice matching, obtaining missing data/documentation, and populating part data in the ERP system.
- Order book management, involving first point of call for data to allow order book management (delivery dates etc), including escalation into appropriate internal points of contact where necessary.
- Working with external suppliers as required – e.g., raising RFQs, obtaining quotes, and obtaining delivery updates.
- Supporting and where applicable leading procurement process‑driven tasks, e.g., new product introduction.
- Support the Supply Chain Team by completing administrative tasks.
- Liaise with other departments, such as Finance, Engineering and Production.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working within a Supply Chain function and/or within an administrative environment is a must.
- Experience working with an ERP system, such as Infor LN, and general MS Office products.
- Good communication skills on all levels, able to build relationships with stakeholders across functions.
- Willingness to support and embrace change in a fast‑paced environment, comfortable developing within the role.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Security Requirements
Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include a minimum Existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with Security Check likely for specific projects.
