The Role: We are looking for an energetic and highly capable Production Engineer to help drive our unique technology across the line and into production. You’ll be central to ensuring our groundbreaking designs become real-world systems — safely, reliably, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Participate in design reviews to provide design-for-manufacture input
- Create and champion standard operating procedures and work instructions for all aspects of marine manufacturing
- Assist with prototype and pre-production assembly work
- Provide input for engineering change management (ECO) process
- Specify and source production equipment, tooling, jigs and fixtures
- Support production with day-to-day query resolution
- Lead and support continuous improvement activities in production
- Ensure full adherence to internationally recognised quality standards for manufacturing, particularly within the marine industry
- Create and manage production layout plans to support efficient manufacturing
- Develop and support quality and business processes related to manufacturing
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Production experience with composite structures or electro‑mechanical assembly
- Experience of working within a high value, low volume production environment
- Experience of productionising new technologies and new products
Desirable:
- Degree qualified within engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Recognised Project Management experience or qualification
- Use of agile toolsets
Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with UK National security clearance required for certain roles.
