SAP Asset Management IT Specialist

Subsea7 are looking for an Asset and Support Specialist to join the IT SAP SCM Support Team in Westhill, Aberdeen office on a permanent basis.

The Specialist will join Subsea7's existing team of support experts and will report into the SCM Support Team Lead.

Subsea7 are in the final stages of replacing SAP ECC with SAP S4 HANA together with associated business process changes across Finance, SCM, Transportation Management and Asset Management.

This will deliver a standard set of processes and associated data through the S4 application leading to improved efficiency and operation of the business.

A new Mobile Equipment management solution, ETM.Next, has been deployed and integrated with the S4 Transportation Management module for outbound and inbound logistics processes.

The IT Support Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of these processes through the configuration and support of ETM.Next.

The Specialist will work closing with the SAP SCM Team Lead, Global SAP Manager and stakeholders from the Supply Chain Management and Logistics business communities.

What will you be doing?

• Provide second line technical and functional support and assistance to a global SCM and Logistics user base for the ETM.next and Transportation Management modules
• Troubleshoot issues, liaising with 3rd party vendor support where required
• Provide integration monitoring to ensure smooth integration between ETM.Next and SAP TM (Transportation Management), MM (Materials Management) and FI (Finance)
• Assist with the translation of business requirements into SAP functionality and manage the expectations of the business where appropriate
• Prioritise and deliver approved Change Requests for related modules
• Manage & co-ordinate testing of all configuration changes made to ETM.Next
• Accountable for adherence to security and architectural standards for SAP related systems, processes and services
• Identify opportunities for Subsea7 to gain efficiencies and improvements from using their SAP solutions in a more efficient way
• In conjunction with key business stakeholders, support the SAP SCM Team Lead and Global SAP Manager in roadmap planning and delivery
• Promote global functional and IT Support processes within Subsea7

Technical:

• Knowledge of SAP technical architecture (essential)
• Knowledge of SAP S4 (preferred)
• Technical and functional knowledge of the ETM.Next solution (preferred)
• Technical and functional knowledge of the SAP Transportation Management Module (desirable)

• Communicates effectively and articulately, both verbally and in writing
• Customer focused with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels across the business, seeks to improve through feedback and self-learning
• Demonstrates desire to challenge the status quo and devise new ideas and improvements

EXPERIENCE

• Prior experience of working in a SAP IT support organisation
• Process knowledge of Asset/Equipment management within Oil & Gas
• Prior experience of the technical and functional aspects of the SAP ETM module
• Prior experience of the technical and functional aspects of the SAP Transportation Management modules
• Experience of working to ITIL standard processes and procedures
• Appreciation of Change Management and Testing requirements and procedures.
