The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
What will you be doing? You will be responsible for producing 3D models and drawings for the fabrication of subsea structures and ancillaries, as well as procedural and design drawings for the installation of SPS (Subsea Production Systems) and SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines). With Subsea 7's proactive participation in the energy transition, there will be opportunities to also work on renewable energy and lower carbon development projects.
Candidates shall be required to:
- Under direct supervision and with guidance, be responsible for producing 3D models, drawings and sketches consistent with good engineering practice and in compliance with company drawing office procedures.
- Liaise directly with project engineers on drawings and sketches when required.
- Maintain communication with the Discipline Deputy Manager, in combination with lead and senior designers where appropriate, to ensure all project tasks are on schedule.
- Always present oneself in a professional manner.
What experience would we like you to have?
- A minimum of HNC (Level 4) qualification in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in the use of Autodesk Inventor.
- Experienced in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Experience in design/drafting of steel structures from concept to fabrication/as-built.
- Prioritise, organise and deliver work to deadlines set by management.
- Can effectively work as a team member across multiple projects.
- Have a willingness to learn and develop new skill sets.
- Sound communication skills in English.
The following are desirable attributes, but NOT essential:
- Experience in design/drafting of subsea steel structures.
- Experienced in the use of Inventor's iLogic functionality.
- Experience with Vault for data (drawings/models) management.
- Experience working with offshore field layouts and route planning and general subsea field development.
- Experience working on offshore operations method drawings (rigging arrangements, deck layouts, storyboard).
