Overview
As a Survey Support Engineer at Subsea7, you will support the definition, interfacing and mobilisation of ROV and vessel survey equipment within a global team. You collaborate with offshore and onshore personnel to ensure timely delivery and smooth operations across projects. You will help prepare mobilisation plans, maintain equipment inventories, and champion HSEQ responsibilities. This role offers exposure to challenging global locations and close work with project and service-provider teams to solve complex survey challenges.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the selection, interfacing, and setup of survey equipment
- Review project requirements for vessel/ROV mobilisation and facilitate equipment requests
- Prepare cost and schedule estimates for survey mobilisations
- Brief offshore survey engineering personnel and support mobilisation
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and off-hire of equipment
- Review equipment fault reports and facilitate replacements
- Maintain vessel equipment inventories and consumable requests
- Ensure configuration documentation is current
- Prepare technical notes, procedures and mobilisation plans
- Own and champion HSEQ responsibilities
- Undertake other responsibilities as defined by line manager
Key requirements
- Degree or HND in relevant survey or electronics
- Knowledge of subsea offshore construction, ROV systems and related survey equipment
- Offshore experience with Survey and/or ROV operations is advantageous
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
