Overview
In this role you will be responsible for regional financial reporting within Subsea7’s Finance Resource Centre. You will prepare statutory financial statements and support external audit, ensuring IFRS and local standards are applied. You’ll work with a supportive, collaborative team to deliver timely reporting and drive improvements in processes and controls. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to develop and mentor others within a multinational environment. You will contribute to accurate reporting that supports the company’s global financial objectives and stakeholder needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements and management accounts as needed
- Provide explanations to external auditors for group and entity financial statements
- Demonstrate solid understanding of IFRS, local standards, legislation, and group accounting policies
- Support Internal Audit with required explanations and information
- Ensure compliance with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements and maintain financial controls within deadlines
- Prepare reconciliations and analyses with backup and critical evaluation of significant entity balances
- Assist in reviewing Associate Accountants’ work
- Identify process improvements and promote standardised, best-practice workflows
- Coach and review work of Associate Accountants within the team
- Collaborate with Subsea7 finance community to resolve reporting queries in a timely manner
- Contribute to ad hoc tasks and projects as required
Key requirements
- Qualified or near-qualified Accountant with audits and accounts preparation experience
- Experience of IFRS and FRS101 statutory accounts preparation, financial controls and audit process
- Experience in large multinational companies or large teams is advantageous
- Proven track record of high-quality analysis and analytical review
