Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 2 Jet Vac and vacuum tankers to clean, clear, and maintain drainage systems.
  • Travel to residential, commercial, and industrial sites as part of a two-person team to deliver high-quality service.
  • Safely operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to remove blockages and restore flow.
  • Record job details accurately using company systems and equipment.
  • Carry out diagnostics, minor repairs, and inspections of drains and related infrastructure.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain clear communication with clients on-site.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks, maintain vehicle stock levels, and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including correct PPE use, safe site setups, and manual handling techniques.
  • Dynamically assess risks upon arrival at each site and adapt work practices accordingly.
  • Support colleagues and assist in training and mentoring where required.
  • Report any defects, hazards, or equipment issues promptly to management.
  • Represent Quest Waste Management professionally at all times, upholding company values and standards.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points).
  • Driver CPC (required) Tachograph Card (required)
  • Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Keen interest in drainage, waste management, or related utilities sectors.
  • Practical, hands‑on attitude with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic IT skills and a positive approach to learning new systems and processes.
  • WJA Trained.
