Unique Institutional FX Sales opportunity within a leading London based FX Specialist, reporting into the Head of Corporate & Institutional Treasury. You will have 1/2 years+ exposure of selling into Financial Institutions and are likely looking for the next stage in your career working with a leading London FX Specialist.

Institutional Clients include Non-bank Professional Financial Institutions, Targeting FTSE 350 & FX Brokers. The role will include:

  • Working internally with Dealing, Traders, On-Boarding and Credit Teams
  • Acquiring new business to meet set targets
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Generating own leads and converting to a client; visiting generated leads with the intention of acquiring their business
  • Business networking and relationship building
  • Knowing value proposition and objection handling
  • Assisting with account set up
  • Ensuring all client communication (both past and future) is in CRM system
  • Hand holding the client with their first few deals ensuring that the client is happy and comfortable with dealing with Investec

Maintaining client relationships is crucial. In the first year, the principal account relationship will migrate over time from the field sales person to the dealer and account manager. It is important that the sales person maintains a strong and fluid relationship with this client and assists in the handover of the relationship after the year.

Act with integrity at all times: Ensure that products sold to all our clients are suitable and appropriate. Ensure all clients' queries are handled in an efficient and professional manner.

Core Skills:

  • Proven and demonstrable track record in Institutional Treasury Sales (1 Year - 5 Years Ideal)
  • An institutional client base or good understanding
  • Proven FX sales & marketing experience both face-to-face and over-the-phone
  • Highly professional and articulate with the ability to communicate with senior management/business owners
  • Proven communication and listening skills
  • Motivated self-starter with good time management skills
  • Proven presentation skills and competent computer skills
  • Ability to learn new concepts and product knowledge
  • Ability to articulate these concepts/products in the client's industry language
  • Confident

  • Basic FX market and product knowledge
