Objective: To deliver exceptional customer satisfaction by effectively managing client expectations while aligning with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Proactively address customers’ needs through an end-to-end approach, identifying value-added solutions.
- Prepare quotes and estimates for current and potential clients in coordination with the Sales Representative and commercial team.
- For fully managed accounts, handle initial pricing in coordination with the commercial function.
- Submit proposals to decision makers for approval, ensuring margin compliance, before returning offers to clients and Sales Representatives.
- Monitor the effectiveness of submitted quotations and propose adjustments when needed.
- Manage order intake while ensuring compliance with company terms, including pricing, quantities, and delivery deadlines.
- Track delivery performance, make prioritization decisions to resolve delays, and forecast orders for assigned customers.
- Oversee stock agreements and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) procedures.
- Manage returns and corresponding credit notes.
- Maximise sales volume and profitability for assigned accounts.
- Communicate clearly with customers and address their requests efficiently.
- Attend meetings with Sales Representatives and managers.
- Encourage customers to use web-based ordering systems.
- Track development of customer projects with the technical office.
- Initiate actions for recovering overdue payments.
- Keep customer information up to date in management systems.
- Attend ad hoc customer meetings in coordination with management.
- Prospect and engage assigned accounts via phone according to defined platforms.
- Initiate merchandise purchases proactively.
- Support initiatives to enhance customer margins.
Sales Systems & Reporting:
- Implement the company’s structured sales approach in daily activities.
- Follow communication and reporting procedures to ensure alignment across all commercial stakeholders.
- Maintain and update Account Plans for selected customers as requested by regional management.
- Fully manage internal and external claims related to invoicing, pricing, and administrative issues.
- Report potential business improvements identified in the course of duties to management.
Training & Development:
- Actively participate in personal training programs, support new initiatives, and report skill gaps to enhance professional development.
Marketing & Customer Engagement:
- Organise and coordinate customer events and plant visits, following guidance from the Customer Service Manager and assigned Sales Representative, to strengthen client relationships.
Recommended Profile Experience:
- At least 1 year in internal sales and/or customer service.
- Experience in the packaging or manufacturing industry is an advantage.
