THE ROLE
We’re hiring an Operations Intern to join the team at the heart of Subdial’s day-to-day operations, getting hands-on with the watches moving through our Farringdon HQ. This role is focused on shipping out
— your core responsibility is physically preparing and sending out orders, making sure every watch leaves us accurately, securely and on time for the daily courier collection.
It’s an in-person role for someone with a sharp eye for detail who likes to get stuck in. This is a six-month fixed contract with the opportunity to continue full-time, working Monday to Friday in person at the Clubhouse.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare and send out orders. A hands‑on role preparing watches and boxes / papers for shipping out — making sure the contents match the order exactly, and that when the buyer receives their order they’re blown away by how it’s presented.
- Liaise with buyers. Speak to buyers by email and phone, make sure they understand the shipping timelines, and see that they receive their watch(es) on the right day without any hiccups.
- Maintain delivery records. Keep track of dispatched shipments, make sure they’re delivered, and update tracking records across our various sales platforms.
- Manage the shipping area and supplies. Keep an eye on shipping supplies and ensure the shipping stations are always stocked and ready to go.
- Solve shipping issues.Problem‑solve when issues arise, to ensure the safe delivery of every order.
WHO YOU ARE
- Hands‑on. You’re happy getting stuck in with watches, managing a physical processing area and working at speed — sleeves rolled up, cracking through the tasks in front of you.
- Organised and detail‑oriented. Handling high‑value watches means small oversights can be costly; you have a keen eye for detail and can work at speed without sacrificing quality or care — including on digital records.
Great time management.
- You’ll have real freedom to manage your own time, so you can juggle time‑sensitive tasks and stay effective under pressure.
- Comfortable with technology. You pick up new systems quickly and are intuitive with tech.
- A problem‑solver. You can handle the unforeseen issues that crop upat the last minute.
- Into watches. You don’t need to be a watch guru on day one, but a genuine interest will make the work all the more rewarding.
DETAILS
- Six‑month fixed contract, with the opportunity to continue full‑time. Full‑time, five days a week (Monday to Friday), in person at the Subdial Clubhouse, Farringdon, London.
- Reports to Johannes (Processing & Logistics Manager).
- Salary of £26,500 per annum. You must have the right to work in the UK.
