ABOUT SUBDIAL
Subdial is the trading platform for people who love watches. We make discovering watches exciting and trading them easy.
We combine technology and our industry-leading market data with a focus on collectability and a personal service for collectors. We’re bringing watch collecting into the 21st century, putting passion back into the collector experience.
THE ROLE
We’re hiring a Photography Intern to join our in-house team and help create the imagery behind every Subdial listing. Working alongside our Senior Photographer, you’ll learn how we shoot our core watch photography and condition videos, and play a key part in getting every watch camera-ready and live — beautifully, and on deadline.
It’s an in-person role for someone with a sharp eye and high standards who’s excited to learn. This is a six-month fixed contract with a view to a full-time role beyond, based full-time at the Clubhouse.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare items for shooting. Assist with getting the daily continuous-listing watches, boxes and papers ready.
- Follow the studio setups and the watch-handling rules.
- Shoot watch e-commerce images. Learn how we shoot our core photography and execute to hit weekly production deadlines for Subdial’s listings.
- Shoot condition videos. Make sure every watch that goes live has a beautiful condition video accompanying it, available to prospective buyers.
- Liaise between Photography and Workshop. Work with our watchmakers' workshop to prepare watches and schedule them for shooting every morning.
- Lifestyle photography support. Help with lifestyle and social shoots, covering setup, styling and assisting on set.
- Keep our records in order. Upkeep of equipment inventory, photography records and digital asset management.
WHO YOU ARE
- High aesthetic standards — you want every photo that goes live to look 10/10.
- Detail-oriented — you catch the small things and can be fully trusted as the quality-control point for every image we produce.
- Gets stuck in — sleeves rolled up, eager to learn, no job too small.
- Process-minded — you think about how to turn activities into processes that can be developed and scaled over time, efficiently and effectively.
- Great within a team — our culture matters deeply to us, and we want people who add to the sense of team we’ve built.
