We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading UK-based Marine Construction & Engineering company that plays a pivotal role in delivering specialist underwater and marine projects across the UK.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced

Senior Construction & Projects Manager / Engineer to work closely with the Managing Director, supporting the company's ongoing success and operational excellence.

This is an office-based role in

England, and candidates must be willing to work from the company's England-based office. The specific location will be discussed with shortlisted applicants during the recruitment process.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position offering the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of clients, including:

  • Civil Engineering Contractors

  • Ports, Rivers and Inland Waterway Authorities

The company delivers specialist services across marine engineering, underwater construction, bridge inspection and repair, offshore renewables, inland waterways, docks, reservoirs, and other technically challenging projects.

Working alongside the Managing Director, you will help streamline business operations, identify new opportunities for growth, manage project delivery, and ensure the company continues to provide outstanding service to its clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Leadership
  • Support the Managing Director in the day-to-day management of the business
  • Ensure the company has the right staffing and equipment resources for current and future projects
  • Drive efficiency improvements and streamline business processes
  • Strengthen existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Support diversification into new markets and service offerings
  • Project Management
  • Lead the planning and execution of multiple marine and underwater construction projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements
  • Manage project scope, schedules, resources and budgets
  • Prepare and review project costings, quotations and tenders
  • Act as the technical point of contact for clients, suppliers and partners
  • Identify and manage project risks to ensure successful delivery
  • Service Delivery
  • Coordinate equipment, personnel and subcontractor requirements
  • Support project mobilisation and operational readiness
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors on technical matters
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards
  • Manage smooth project handovers and close-out activities
