Background: STYRKR is one of the fastest-growing global sports nutrition brands, built for cyclists, runners, and performance athletes who go the distance. With a science‑led product range and an ambitious team based just outside Gatwick, we’re pushing boundaries across D2C and B2B channels in the UK, US, EU, and beyond.
We’re now levelling up our D2C and B2B retention strategy — and we’re looking for a data‑driven Email & Retention Specialist to take the lead. You’ll own the strategy and execution across global databases, using Klaviyo and other tools to build best‑in‑class email automations, segments, and customer lifecycle journeys.
This is a high‑impact role for a strategic thinker and doer — someone who blends commercial thinking with creative execution, lives in the data, and knows how to turn insights into revenue.
Main Accountabilities
- Develop and execute robust email and retention strategies to drive revenue and improve customer lifetime value.
- Own all lifecycle marketing including welcome flows, post‑purchase, winback, and abandon cart.
- Plan, build, and deploy email campaigns for product launches, promotions, and reactivation efforts.
- Define segmentation strategy to ensure personalisation and high engagement across cohorts.
- Lead all reactivation, loyalty, and subscription schemes with clear revenue targets.
- Analyse retention performance across cohorts and channels to inform ongoing optimisation.
- Work closely with Growth Manager to ensure CRM efforts align with broader customer journey goals.
- Use Klaviyo, GA, and other analytics tools to drive continual improvements to flows and campaigns.
- Run A/B tests on subject lines, creative, send times, and targeting to improve open, click, and conversion rates.
- Deliver actionable insights with regular reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with marketing, creative, product, and customer experience teams to align on campaign objectives and timelines.
- Brief in content and creative needs to support email execution (copy, design, assets).
- Build relationships with external tech partners, agencies, and platforms to stay ahead of trends.
Innovation & Process Improvement
- Stay ahead of eComm retention best practices and new tools to enhance strategy.
- Drive internal process improvements for speed, efficiency, and performance gains.
- Support broader eCommerce growth initiatives with strategic input and execution power.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years in email marketing and retention, ideally within D2C or consumer products.
- Deep knowledge of Klaviyo and lifecycle marketing automation.
- Proven ability to drive revenue and customer LTV through flows and campaigns.
- Experience owning CRM and loyalty/subscription initiatives from concept to delivery.
- Confident in analysing performance data and presenting strategic recommendations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an eye for detail and design.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset — you take ownership and get things done.
What You’ll Get
- A key strategic role within a high‑growth, mission‑led brand
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays
- Ongoing mentorship and growth opportunities
- Exposure to global markets and all areas of the business
- Vertically integrated company = fast pace, full ownership, big impact
- Staff discount, casual dress code, on‑site parking, pension contributions
- A team that values creativity, autonomy, and results over red tape
