The Goods In/Out Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations relating to the receipt, storage, handling and dispatch of goods. The Goods In/Out Manager will lead and support the Goods In/Out team, coordinate with production and drive improvements in workflows, accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Goods In and Dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of materials.
- Manage the end-to-end logistics process including goods warehousing, transportation and distribution.
- Manage loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring manual handling and forklift procedures are followed correctly.
- Ensure accurate receipt of all deliveries, managing reporting of discrepancies, damages, and incomplete orders.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of Goods In/Out activity including quantity checks, quality checks, and system updates.
- Monitor packaging inventory and report low stock levels to the relevant manager.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental requirements, including proper PPE usage and reporting hazards.
- Collaborate with production to prioritise jobs and maintain efficient workflow.
- Perform or oversee forklift safety checks, ensuring corrective action is taken when needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Maintain and monitor required training certifications for the team.
- Liaise with couriers and third-party shipping agents to coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Supervise logistics team of 4.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Resolve any logistical issues or delays promptly.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse.
