At St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School, we are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our committed team of professionals. Job overview

You will be responsible for assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of learning activities, supporting pupils on both a whole-class and individual basis. This includes preparing resources to enhance learning and ensuring that pupils are supported pastorally within a positive and inclusive environment. You will contribute to monitoring and evaluating pupil progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to the class teacher to help ensure that all learning needs are effectively met.

Salary

£26,403 - £27,254 per annum pro rata, actual £22,437 – £23,161 per annum, 37 hours per week, term time, plus 3 training days.

Job requirements

Essential:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification, or willingness to obtain

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within an educational setting
  • Experience of supporting pupils in Key Stage 2
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An understanding of how to support pupils with a range of needs
  • A caring, patient and empathetic approach to working with children
