Due to a significant growth in student numbers at our college, we are excited to announce the creation of a new role within our Student Services Team. Are you a dedicated professional, driven by a passion for safeguarding and student welfare? We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic individual to join us as a Safeguarding and Welfare Team Leader, who will also serve as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. This pivotal role is essential in cultivating a safe and nurturing environment for our students, focusing on their well-being and academic triumphs.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

1. Empathy paired with clear boundaries, becoming a role model for students during their most challenging times
2. Unwavering commitment to excellence in all facets of college life
3. Exceptional problem-solving skills to support students facing complex challenges that may hinder their academic journey
4. A proven history of outstanding performance in intensive pastoral care roles
5. Previous experience of working with young people is required.

Additionally, we value candidates who bring:

1. An energetic, proactive approach with superb organisational skills
2. Expertise in Safeguarding and Prevent strategies
3. Background as a Deputy/Designated Safeguarding Lead
