St Vincent College is seeking highly motivated, passionate, and experienced Assessors to join our bank/casual staff team. The successful candidates will be key in delivering accredited courses to students within the local community. We are currently recruiting assessors and tutors to deliver qualifications in the following areas:
- Early Years Assessor/Tutor
We are looking for passionate, learner-centred assessors who share our commitment to inclusive, supportive education. As an assessor, you will play a key role in supporting students from diverse backgrounds, recognising individual strengths, and helping learners achieve their full potential in a positive and nurturing environment.
You will contribute to:
- Creating inclusive and supportive learning experiences
- Supporting learners to build practical skills and meaningful knowledge
- Encouraging confidence, progression, and wellbeing
- Strengthening a sense of community through high-quality assessment and guidance
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality assessing face-to-face or online, tailored to the learners’ needs and aligned to the relevant qualification.
- Establish good relationships with learners assigned to you.
- Follow our set schemes of work and learner journeys for each qualification.
- Be pro-active in communicating with learners on a monthly basis and with their workplace managers if required.
- Conduct one-to-one progress reviews and skills assessments with learners to monitor their development and address individual learning goals.
- Guide learners throughout their whole qualification, completing all required evidence, exams etc.
- Provide constructive feedback to support learners' growth, ensuring all work meets the required standards and in keeping with our policies and procedures.
- Actively engage with the employer throughout the process encouraging their input.
- Value the importance of Maths, English and ICT skills in the learners’ educational journey.
Work pattern details: Flexibility to work as part of a bank/casual staff team.
The successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
