THE ROLE

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Executive to join our Marketing and Social Media team. The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in a range of social media platforms and a passion for telling stories in creative and engaging ways. The Social Media Executive will have a keen eye for audience and content trends and play a lead role in creating and producing content that performs effectively on social platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creating, producing and editing a variety of assets, suitable for distribution on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Generate ideas on how to promote STV content across multiple platforms.
  • Write copy/video descriptions and publish across platforms.
  • Using metrics to optimise output and improve performance.
  • Support all functions of the social media team.
  • Work collaboratively with other STV teams and external stakeholders as required.
  • Assist in any other aspect of the work of the Company as reasonably required.
  • Flexibility to travel when required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of social platforms and what it takes to make content succeed on each.
  • A passion and aptitude for creative and innovative storytelling with a gift for connecting with people.
  • Demonstrable editing skills on leading video editing software systems.
  • Experience in using the full suite of Adobe products.
  • Proven experience in using video and audio recording equipment.
  • Ability to make sound editorial judgements quickly whilst working under pressure and adapt responsively to a changing agenda.
  • An eye for detail and a spirit of experimentation.
  • A confident team player in a fast-moving creative environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
