STV brings Scotland the best of TV, video streaming and radio. We deliver Scotland’s most-watched daily news programme, a national commercial radio station, and STV Player, one of the UK’s fastest growing broadcast streaming services with thousands of hours of international and homegrown drama, sport and soaps.

This is a rare chance to shape a product that shows up where it counts, on TV and on STV Player. As Product Manager for Web, you’ll set the direction for the STV Player website (STV.TV), the first experience many viewers have with STV. The web platform is fast and flexible; you’ll use that to ship improvements, test ideas and move the metrics that matter.

You’ll work with an Engineering Manager, a UX designer, QA and a talented development team, plus close partners across Editorial, Data/Insights, Marketing, Ad Ops and the other Product team members, to deliver compelling, high-impact experiences at pace.

  • Lead the delivery team for reliable, on-time releases with strong quality (defects down, performance up).
  • Continuously improve high-value journeys (discovery, sign-in, account, payments) with clear targets and fast iteration.
  • Turn insight into action: combine data, user research and editorial context to prioritise what works.
  • Manage the Stakeholders across Editorial, Engineering, UX, Data, Ad Ops, Marketing and Compliance with clear goals and comms.
  • Product manage the STV Player on Roku and Chromecast: own the roadmap and backlog, coordinate releases and optimise performance and engagement.
  • Be the go-to person for the STV Player website and associated services, representing capabilities and opportunities at all levels and in close collaboration with the rest of the STV team.
  • Be informed: know the data and reports, seek out internal and industry sources and best practises.

You’ve led Agile product delivery for web, from user stories and backlog refinement to launch and in‑life monitoring and optimisation. You use data and audience insight to spot opportunities, test quickly and scale what works. Proactive and innovative approach, and able to manage multiple projects in a highly energetic environment.

Experience with digital subscription upgrade paths and lifecycle optimisation. Demonstrable experience of structuring complex information for the purpose of opportunity/risk identification, and to facilitate clear communication. Curious about TV and the streaming landscape, and motivated to make a visible difference for audiences.

25 days paid annual leave and 9 public holidays per annum, an extra day’s holiday on your birthday, healthcare cash plan providing Company contributions towards dental, optical, wellbeing or other healthcare costs, company pension contribution, cycle to work scheme, season ticket travel loan, flexible benefits portal providing a range of retail and gym discounts.
