About the Role

As an Assistive Technology Trainer, you will guide students through their DSA assistive technology, led by them and their learning needs. Working 1:1, you will make learning bespoke and highly effective. You will plan sessions tailored to individual needs and abilities and integrate study skills into your teaching. Previous experience in AT training or technology training is essential for the role. We are looking for people with relevant experience as well as exceptional interpersonal skills who enjoy working 1:1 with others and love finding solutions to help and support others. This is predominantly a remote work position; however, depending on your location, in some instances, you might be required to travel within an hour distance from your home address to provide face-to-face training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver customised assistive technology tutoring
  • Collaboratively and independently arrange and manage appointments with students
  • Efficiently manage personal calendar and administrative tasks
  • Provide expert technical advice, troubleshooting, guidance, and support
  • Maintain punctuality and professionalism in all interactions

About You

Person Specifications:

  • Relevant experience in using Assistive technology, AT training or technology training.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including understanding diverse perspectives, emotional intelligence and effective conflict resolution.
  • Strong organisational and decision-making abilities.
  • Highly competent in using IT and troubleshooting technical problems with an aptitude for teaching.
  • Excellent communication skills, adapting information delivery to diverse learning needs.
  • Capacity to motivate, encourage, and actively listen to students.
  • Ability to develop trust and understanding with each student, recognising their unique experience and learning style.
  • Deliver engaging training and tailor sessions to every student.
  • Bring problem-solving skills and technical expertise to transform the educational experiences of students.
