About StudyStash

StudyStash is a B2B AI learning platform helping students take better notes, learn more effectively, and prepare smarter, while giving universities clearer insight into learning engagement.

The Role

This is a junior product engineering role for someone who wants real ownership early. You will ship production code early, work close to feedback, and learn how product decisions turn into real features. You will work across product features, interface details, data flows, integrations, and platform reliability. The work sits close to product decisions, customer feedback, and day-to-day engineering.

How We Work

We are a small team, so you will see customer and product feedback quickly. We value practical communication, good judgement, and momentum. The role is about building the product well: clear user journeys, reliable implementation, thoughtful tradeoffs, and work that still holds up after release.

What You Will Do

  • Build product features across our Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Sentry, Cloudflare, Vercel, and modern LLM tooling stack.
  • Work on student-facing study tools like notes, flashcards, tests, analytics, and AI-generated learning materials.
  • Improve lecturer and admin workflows, including course setup, dashboards, reporting, and LMS/LTI integrations.
  • Work with APIs, background jobs, permissions, analytics, and integrations while improving reliability, accessibility, performance, and polish.

What We Are Looking For

  • You have built web applications, scripts, internal tools, or shipped side projects before.
  • You are comfortable with JavaScript or TypeScript and interested in working across the full stack.
  • Experience with React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, PostgreSQL, Cloudflare, Vercel, or similar tools.
  • Experience building with LLMs and AI tooling such as Codex, Claude, Cursor, or similar.
  • You communicate early when blocked and take pride in work that holds up after release.

What We Offer

  • Salary of £30,000-£40,000, depending on experience.
  • EMI options, pension, and paid holiday.
  • MacBook and the kit you need to do your best work.
  • AI tokens budget, and the setup you need to do excellent work.
  • Regular in-person team days and focused working sessions.
