Directly reporting to the Regional Manager, Study Now is a leading education consultancy firm, dedicated to assisting students in finding the best study opportunities worldwide. We work closely with universities, colleges, and other educational institutions to facilitate the recruitment and admission process. We are committed to providing personalized support and guidance to our clients, ensuring they make informed decisions about their academic and career paths.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Academic Counsellor in our London Office to assist students in studying abroad as international students. As a Senior Academic Counsellor, you will have a key role in providing guidance and support to students in various aspects of their academic journey, attracting students to study abroad, and ensuring their successful placement in educational programs worldwide. Work Mode: Fully Onsite (Monday - Friday)

Main activities and responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a high level of satisfaction among prospective students.
  • Actively engage in sales and cross-selling initiatives to convert potential leads into actual enrolments, meeting pipeline and final sales targets.
  • Provide comprehensive counselling to prospective students and their families, guiding them on study opportunities and program selection.
  • Offer information about various institutions, both in-person and over the phone, to help students make informed decisions.
  • Follow up on students' applications, keeping them informed about offers and rejections from institutions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates of student applications on the Study Now Global database and team reporting scheme.
  • Focus on providing excellent after-sales service to cultivate a strong referral source from satisfied parents and students.
  • Organize and execute promotional activities at local institutions and Study Now offices to increase awareness and attract potential students.
  • Assist in organizing Study Now exhibitions and other educational events, ensuring smooth operations and effective representation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with students, their families, locals, Study Now institution clients, and visa offices.
  • Attend to institutions during their visits to the Study Now office, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Fulfil other duties as assigned by the Line Manager, contributing to the efficient functioning of the organization.

Additional Key Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the education systems and study opportunities in Australia, US, UK, Canada, or Europe, including admission requirements, visa processes, and scholarship options.
  • Familiarity with relevant educational institutions, courses, and programs in the target study destinations.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating successful outcomes in the field of overseas study consulting.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for customer relationship management and data tracking.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in overseas study consulting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide tailored solutions to meet individual student needs.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and thorough documentation of client interactions and applications.

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate client needs and participate in promotional events.

Person Specification:

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in overseas study consulting, specialising in UK, Canada, Australia, US or Europe.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain concepts and cater to customer needs.
  • Demonstrate strong sales acumen and the capability to establish and nurture customer relationships.
  • Possess excellent English language proficiency, enabling effective communication and presentation delivery in English.
  • Thrive in high-pressure environments and demonstrate the ability to work towards and achieve targets.
  • Embrace business challenges, actively seek opportunities for improvement, and exhibit a positive attitude towards change.
  • Excel in collaborative teamwork, fostering a harmonious and productive team environment.

  • Hold at least a Bachelor's Degree qualification.

  • Travel may be required in order to attend conferences, events, new projects and effectively represent the Company in key networks.
