Contract type: Variable Hours (up to 25 hours) - Permanent

Location: Leeds, Leeds International Study Centre

Salary: Up to Β£33.57 per hour (Module development rate of Β£20.00 per hour)

Details: Due to this course being a new initiative within Study Group, the initial 12 months will focus on course and material development. This can be done on a hybrid basis, with some face-to-face meetings required. Teaching will start from September 2025 and will be fully face-to-face.

Leeds International Study Centre, in collaboration with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University, aims to deliver effective teaching programs. As a tutor, you will contribute to designing, developing, and delivering modules, supporting students, and implementing innovative teaching practices.

About the Role:

  • Participate in meetings with staff to manage programs and student life cycle.
  • Design, deliver, and develop modules.
  • Assess student work and provide feedback.
  • Prepare and mark exams and assessments.
  • Maintain the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
  • Assist with induction, orientation, and registration programs.
  • Support student progression and welfare.
  • Engage in scholarly activities to keep modules current.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures and contribute to program reviews.
  • Use centre systems to log attendance and maintain records.
  • Complete reports for sponsors and academics.
  • Participate in development activities like VLE development and peer observation.
  • Undertake teaching and staff development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Promote health, safety, and wellbeing, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject.
  • Master's qualification is desirable.
  • PhD candidates are especially welcome.
  • Experience in UK higher or further education teaching, preferably with international students, and a teaching qualification is preferred.
