About the Role
- Coordinate student progression, support, and transition activities within the centre, including administration and record-keeping.
- Plan and implement Academic Success tutorials.
- Act as a personal tutor, providing 1:1 personal development, academic, and progression counselling to students.
- Design and create learning materials on study skills, transition, and employability for Academic Success tutorials.
- Maintain and update the virtual learning environment, embedding digital learning technologies.
- Track VLE analytics and student work completion to identify gaps and actions.
- Monitor student performance, liaise with academic teams for intervention strategies, and maintain records.
- Support academic tutors by providing resources to support student performance.
- Deliver interventions related to attendance, ensuring compliance with policies and timely recording.
- Record and monitor student attendance, engagement, and interventions, and measure impact.
- Report on student destinations and refer students to the Extended Progression Team if needed.
- Coordinate with Partner University departments to create transition activities and community engagement opportunities.
- Organise and facilitate progression, enrichment, and employability activities with the Student Experience Team and Subject Leaders.
- Identify progression routes for students not meeting requirements, liaising with the Extended Progression Team.
- Manage and motivate Progression & Engagement Officers to ensure positive student outcomes.
- Conduct performance management for direct reports, including setting objectives and reviews.
- Encourage staff participation in personal development activities.
- Recruit new staff as needed following company policies.
- Contribute to developing and communicating the Student Experience and Progression Strategy and policies.
- Maintain policies, procedures, and documents related to responsibility areas.
- Assist in the production of the Annual Monitoring Report and contribute to governance groups.
- Implement actions from the Centre Action Plans related to progression and student experience strategies.
- Analyze data and feedback to monitor impact on student progression.
- Organise and deliver student induction, transition, and enrichment activities.
- Handle general student queries via face-to-face, email, and phone.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform any other duties as required by the Student Experience Leader or Centre Director.
