Contract type: Full Time (37.5 hours) - Permanent

Location: Huddersfield, Huddersfield International Study Centre

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum

To be a member of the Centre’s Student Experience Team with accountability for an area of the activities undertaken by the Data and Operations Team, such as:

  1. Data management & governance;
  2. Exams, assessments, and academic administration;
  3. Compliance: student enrolments, attendance & HR.

To implement Study Group’s policies, standard operating processes, and procedures, ensuring staff and students are fully supported to maximize student outcomes and satisfaction.

The post holder will report to the Student Experience Leader and will line manage Student Experience Officers and Data and Operations Officers for their specialist area. They will work in a matrix structure, building strong relationships within the Data & Operations Team, central Study Group teams, and the university partner to ensure smooth operations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Oversee implementation of standards and regulations with centre management.
  • Organize the release of assessment screens termly.
  • Assist with invigilation of assessments and re-assessments.
  • Manage the verification process of assessments, including security, collation, distribution, collection, and archiving of assessments, scripts, and documentation.
  • Review and update systems used as required.
  • Oversee completion and accuracy of the RPAG, liaise with academic tutors and Senior Coordinators for Wellbeing & Progression.
  • Log and ensure the accuracy of all assessment documentation (appeals, misconduct, mitigating circumstances, results).
  • Prepare documentation for MAM and CAM.
  • Ensure student progression data is updated in the student information system.
  • Coordinate collection of information from faculties for central timetabling and liaise with the central team.
  • Motivate Data and Operations Officers to contribute to student outcomes and experience.
  • Liaise with other Senior Coordinators to ensure front desk coverage and workload management.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance the student experience.
  • Manage performance of direct reports, set objectives and KPIs, conduct reviews.
  • Support staff development and participate in recruitment.
  • Support compliance awareness and maintain quality policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the Annual Monitoring Report and governance groups.
  • Monitor actions from Centre Action Plans related to data and operations.
  • Analyze data and feedback to monitor impact on student progression and experience.
  • Handle fee payment deadlines and inquiries, create student invoice records, process refunds according to policies.
  • Serve as a key contact for students, addressing inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Assist in organizing student events such as induction, transition, and enrichment activities.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience demonstrating ability to work independently.
  • Administration or management training or qualification.
  • Higher-level safeguarding training.
  • Experience in line management.
  • Supporting students in an educational setting.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining the Student Experience.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
