Location: Glasgow, Strathclyde International Study Centre
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
To be part of the Student Experience Team and be responsible for coordinating student progression, support, and transition activities within the centre. The post holder will be operationally managed by the Student Experience Leader and will oversee the Progress Coaches. You will play a vital role in delivering the best possible student experience.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Provide progression and transition support within the centre, including administration and record-keeping.
- Plan and deliver Academic Success tutorials.
- Act as a personal tutor, offering 1:1 personal development, academic, and progression counselling to students.
- Collaborate to design learning materials on study skills, transition, and employability for tutorials.
- Maintain the virtual learning environment and integrate digital learning technologies.
- Track VLE analytics and student work completion to identify gaps and actions.
- Monitor student performance, liaise with academic teams for interventions, and maintain records.
- Support academic tutors with resources to support student success.
- Assist the Registry and Operations team with attendance interventions, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Record and monitor attendance, engagement, and interventions; measure impact.
- Report on student destinations and refer students to the Extended Progression Team as needed.
- Coordinate with Partner University departments for transition activities and community engagement.
- Organise progression, enrichment, and employability activities with the Student Experience Team and Subject Leaders.
- Manage and motivate the Progression & Engagement Officers.
- Conduct performance management for direct reports, including setting objectives and reviews.
- Support staff development and participate in recruitment when necessary.
- Contribute to Strategy development, policies, and quality assurance processes.
- Analyse data and feedback to monitor impact on student progression.
- Organise and deliver induction, transition, and enrichment activities.
- Handle student queries via face-to-face, email, and phone.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
